Hoylake Lifeboat was tasked to assist a 6m diving RIB with 4 persons on board that had suffered engine failure west of the Liverpool bar. The lifeboat launched in calm conditions and arrived on scene to take the vessel under tow. The RIB was towed to New Brighton beach, where it was taken ashore, before the lifeboat returned to station.
