Hovercraft tasked to persons cut off by tide

Hoylake Hovercraft was tasked at 18:29 by the UK Coastguard to investigate reports of a person cut off by the tide in the Harrison Drive area. The hovercraft was stood down before arriving on scene as the person had waded ashore safely. While returning to station, the hovercraft was tasked en route to a second report of a family cut off by the tide in Leasowe Bay. The hovercraft arrived on scene within minutes and the family were given safety advice before being directed to a safe route off the bank. Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team were also in attendance.
