Four people at risk of being cut off by tide

Hoylake Hovercraft was tasked at 20:23 following reports of 4 people at risk of being cut off by the incoming tide approximately one mile offshore from Dove Point in Meols. The hovercraft was launched and headed towards the casualties, who were brought on board by the hovercraft crew. The individuals were transported safely to the Dove Point slipway before being passed to waiting Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team officers, who gave safety advice.
