Person cut off by tide off New Brighton

Hoylake Hovercraft was tasked at 19.22 by the UK Coastguard to a person cut off by the tide on a groyne off Harrison Drive, New Brighton. The hovercraft arrived on scene as Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team officers were were attending to the casualty and two hovercraft crew members assisted with the recovery. New Brighton Lifeboat were also on scene. Coastguard officers handed the casualty over safely to the North West Ambulance Service.
