Hovercraft launched to four people stuck in mud off Manor Groyne

Hoylake Hovercraft was tasked by UK Coastguard at 9.56pm to reports of four people stuck in the mud off Manor Groyne, Wallasey. The hovercraft launched and proceeded to the scene and was stood down en route when it was established that the casualties had been removed from the beach by Wirral and Flint Coastguard Rescue Team, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police officers. The casualties were assessed on the shore by the North West Ambulance Service as suffering from the effects of cold but required no further medical attention.
