Hoylake RNLI hovercraft was tasked at 10.45am after the distress signal from a personal locator beacon (PLB) was detected by the UK Coastguard. The signal was reportedly being transmitted from the Bagillt Bank area on the west side of the River Dee.

Following a 999 call from a member of the public, Hoylake's volunteer crew were tasked by the UK Coastguard to assist a man and two dogs who appeared to be cut off by the tide between Dovepoint and Barbers Folly in Meols. Hoylake Hovercraft H-005 Hurley Spirit was launched at 11:52am and arrived on scene just 7 minutes later.

Hoylake Lifeboat was tasked by UK Coastguard in the early hours of the morning following reports of a vessel adrift in Liverpool Bay. The vessel had been spotted in the darkness by a passing ship just south of the Liverpool Bar light float at the mouth of the River Mersey. Attempts to contact the vessel by the Coastguard and the Mersey Marine Operations Control Centre had been unsuccessful.

Hoylake RNLI hovercraft was tasked by UK Coastguard to assist Crosby Coastguard Rescue Team in aiding two dogs which had been found alone on Formby beach. The dogs had reportedly been missing since the previous evening and had spent the night lost on the beach, where overnight temperatures reached below freezing.
